Bandleader: Gyula Tibor Kiss

Maestro/Bandmaster: Zsolt Kasellák

Our humble band was formed in 2007, within the confines of the Demecseri Pál Gyula M?vészetoktatási Intézmény (Pál Gyula Art Educational Institution of Demecser), whence the new generetion of members come from ever since. In 2009, our members felt it’s time to take up a simpler, more memorable name for the band, which came from the occasion of our first open performance, where a lemon was placed in front of the band. So from that point the band is called „Citrom Band” („citrom” means „lemon” in hungarian) semi-officially.

In our repertory we feature pieces of classical musics, like hungarian marches, and quiet a lot of modern pieces, like well known pop and rock songs and themes of famous movies.

From time to time we manage to cross the borders of Hungary with our performances, so far we’ve shown our skills in Transylvania, Austria, Germany, Greece, and in lovely Italy. In 2012, at the Allegromosso – XI. Europan Youth Music Festival, we had the honor of flying the colors of Hungary. In Hungary again, we’ve been awarded with gold certification in Concert „C” category twice, first in 2014, then again in 2015. Still in 2014, in Dunaújváros, our band participated in the VIII. National Competition of Music Bands and Music Schools, where we erned a 6th place. A few weeks after Dunaújváros, we performed in Guilianova, at the „XV. Festival Internazionale Bande Musicali”, again as a represantative of Hungary, where we’ve got the „Press Prize” of the festival.
