Greatly appreciated and applauded, the International Festival of Musical Bands presents its 11th, novelty-filled edition. Originally organized together with the celebrations for Maria SS. Dello Splendora, this year it will take off on its own, no longer in April but at the end of May.

Novel yes, but, at the same time, using the same winning formula springing from the resources and formidable intuition of its originator, Mario Orsini , who has made this beautiful event a triumph of color, culture and music, unique in Italy. For four days Giulianova will be the capital of “brass” in an exciting celebration which will draw to our city not only thousands of Italian visitors and music fans but groups from England, Sweden and countries as far away as Belorussia and Polynesia.

The International Festival of Musical Bands is a great boost for tourism, creating a considerable influx of tourists in low season and justly drawing the attention of the national media. The event has, in fact, carried the name of Giulianova to the four corners of the globe and has attracted the sponsorship of the President of the Republic, the President of the Council of Ministers, the Ministries of Cultural Heritage , Foreign Affairs and Tourism and, for the first time, the Italian office of the European Commission. These influential sponsors emphasize the importance of this Event which is a source of legitimate pride for our city.
