Fanfare of Berasaglieri "E.Toti"
The history of the Fanfare “E. Toti” of Teramo begins in April 2008, when the Fanfare of the ‘Bersagliere’ brigade Garibaldi , marched along the streets in Bellante (province of Teramo).
Two boys, Cantorersi Giovanni president of the Sec. “E. Toti” and Loretone Mauro secretary of the same section, had a brillant idea of forming a Fanfare with the intent to sustain and promulgate the traditions of the `bersagliere', the patriotic ideals, the glorious rush in the life that always characterizes the plumed foot soldier.
They started full of enthusiasm assembling many young boys coming from the city band, thanks to the M° Michele Furia’s enthisiasm; so after many tests and many sacrifices the Discharching ‘Bersagliere’ Fanfare was constituted in Teramo.
The fanfare is composed of 20 elements, only brasses, usually boys whose only some of them had their period of conscription in the ‘bersagliere’; the true “backbone” of the group is called the “Simpatizzanti” attracted from the uncontrollable spirit of this beloved corp, that same spirit that makes jolting hearts, blowing up souls with joy and eyes with emotion when we listen to some sparkling notes of a Fanfare. The care of the uniform, always impeccable, and the attention of the perfection of the formal aspect and the sonority makes this group even more beloved and refined.
The first official exit in connection with bersagliere was in Bellante on September 21st, 2008, for the recurrence of the 138th anniversary of the seizure of Porta Pia.
The Fanfare has taken part in patriotic and national events organized within the province.
